BANGKOK, 31 May 2016, (NNT) - The Prime Minister spoke with Singapore's Deputy Prime Minister about expanding bilateral cooperation, especially in terms of counter-terrorism and education.

Singapore's Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security Teo Chee Hean has been on an official visit to Thailand from May 29 - 31.

During the official visit, he met with Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha and discussed several agendas, including the Civil Service Exchange Programme, the promotion of education, counter-terrorism operations and efforts to reduce social inequality. According to Deputy Government Spokesperson Maj Gen Weerachon Sukhonthapatipak, the Premier highlighted the two nations' joint intelligence network to combat terrorism in the region.
