Chinese businessmen interested in Para rubber in Bueng Kan

BUENG KAN, 3 June 2016 (NNT) - The Chinese consul general to Thailand has led Chinese businessmen to Bueng Kan province to strengthen ties with their Thai counterparts in terms of trade, investment and tourism.

Provincial Governor of Bueng Kan Phongsak Prichawit on Thursday welcomed the Chinse consul general and the businessmen who are interested to invest in Bueng Kan due to the province’s fast development.

Roads will be expanded to link Bueng Kan with other provinces and an airport will be constructed. The 5th Mekong bridge connecting Bueng Kan to Paksan in Laos will also be constructed. These infrastructure projects are expected to help reduce costs of goods transport to China and facilitate tourists.

The Chinese businessmen showed a special interest in Para rubber since Bueng Kan is the city of Para rubber of the northeastern region. A Chinese company is building a Para rubber factory in the province for export to China where demand for Para rubber is high.
