Gunshots fired at car of Police TV former director



BANGKOK: -- An unidentified gunman opened fire at the house of the former director of the Police TV channel and now a reporter of Phimthai newspapers in Bukkalo district of Bangkok last night, causing damage to his car.

The motive of the attack on the roporter, Chartchai Suksomnuek, is still unknown but the Bukkalo police said they would not rule out a possibility of the nature of his work at the newspapers as well as personal conflict.

Bukkalo police said the gun attack happened at about 1 am Tuesday as Mr Chatchai told them he heard several gunshots in front of his house on Soi Taksin 34 but was unaware it was aimed at his home.

When he woke up in the morning, he walked up to his sedan and found it was riddled with five gunshots.

He then immediately alerted Bukkalo police for inspection.

Forensic police arrived in the morning to inspect the scene.

Police investigators also checked CCTV cameras in the area to find the suspected gunman and which direction he came from and escaped to.

Mr Chatchai said he had neither personal nor business conflict with any people.

5 gunshots outside his house, and he goes back to sleep. I suppose it would have been rather inconvenient if he had looked and found somebody bleeding to death in his garden.

Have to wonder if he had breakfast before finding his car had been shot up.

PTT called, they want their traffic cones back.

Did he report them to the police?

At least he won't need to buy any of those "cool bullet hole" stickers. He has the real thing.
