playyer Posted June 16, 2016 Share Posted June 16, 2016 Hi, A month ago I bought a product from the US online and had it shipped. The cost was a bit over 1000 USD plus freight. Was told to pick it up at customs in Chiang Mai at the airport. They told me that since the value of the product was more than, I think, 40 000 or 45 000 baht, some kind of import permit was needed? Anyway they agreed to let me have the product without it and just pay the normal fee plus VAT tax. About 20 % of the value I think it was. Now I want to buy another item priced over 45 000 baht.
