At least six shops at Rong Kluea Market near the Cambodian border are destroyed by fire early Monday morning.

SA KAEO — A large fire burned through a famous sprawling border market near a popular land crossing into Cambodia in the early hours of Monday.

Police said they were still investigating the cause of the fire which burned down two blocks of shops in the Rong Kluea Market at about 1am. It took 90 minutes to get the blaze under control.

Was it a real fire, or just a copy thumbsup.gif ???

Total 20 baht in damage and 30 rats dead even though firemen giving mouth to mouth. But on the brighter the rats were cooked well done.

It certainly could just be an electrical fire. However, given the strong mafia presence at the market, you cannot help but wonder if someone was resisting paying up.

...one would guess that perhaps...certain people might have 'a new development' on their minds for that particular location.....
