I am not yet fortunate enough to live in Thailand. Most of the discussions here concern those of you actually living in Thailand and I feel your pain. However I visit more or less every 3 months staying only 2-3 weeks each time as I still work in the USA.

I recently received my first post October 1, 2006 entry (green highlite). I know I have 2 trips I need not worry about. My question is.... are they counting the 3 stamps or the actual number of days I spend in the country. Thus on my 4th trip within the 180 days, if I have only been in the country for say 50 total days and NOT 90, do you think I will need an actual visa/tourist or otherwise on that 4th or even 5th trip over. I'm not there for business and I am not married to a Thai national. Any thoughts? Thanks

Current news is that they are counting actual days in the country.

Of course we won't know for certain until someone with four post Oct 1st stamps actually tells us 'no problem' :o
