Three teenagers talk to police over woman's murder

BANGKOK: -- Three teenagers from the same Bangkok school were taken to police following the murder of a 36 year old woman drug dealer in Thonburi on Wednesday night.

Rachanee Chenchaonit a resident of the Delight H condominium in the Thung Khru area was found in undergrowth opposite the condo with her face cut to pieces by a meat cleaver, reported Thairath. The bloodstained weapon was found nearby.

Now it has emerged that she was murdered by one of the youths over a disagreement about drug deals and money, police said.

Teachers and parents took the three male youths in to meet Thung Khru police Thursday. They are aged 15, 16 and 17 and were named as only A , B and C. The 15 year old has said that he invited his friends to come with him to talk to Ratchanee about money she owed him. They lured her out of the Delight H condo and after the matter was not resolved A said that he attacked her with a meat cleaver hitting her multiple times. He said he did this alone but his friends were there.

A said that he was a customer of Rachanee who was a small time Ya Ba dealer in the neighborhood where they all lived. He said she had tricked him out of money several times and efforts to get it back had all failed so he had invited his friends to come with him to meet her.

Teachers and parents of the youths who had heard about the murder took the youths in to face interrogation. No charges have yet been laid in the matter. Police said that earlier reports that a female was involved in the matter are wrong.

Strange she owing him money,should it not be the other way around?Theres more to this tale than meets the eye.even with three of them they failed to get the story right.

It seems to be the way the Police work here,don't bother going to look for

criminals,just wait till they turn up at the station,or tell them to turn themselves

in by next Tuesday.

That's not the point. He admitted he cut her up and she is dead. How long should a good police force wait? Charge the little scum with murder. Unfortunately, good police forces do not live in LOS.

As always the truth is impossible to decipher. This is Thailand and par for the course, violence and money rule and obviously loss of face is also a priority. Nothing new and nothing will change

All three underage, which means a slap on the wrist in Thailand.

I am normally not a fan of treating youths the same as adults in criminal law (US), but there should be some meaningful punishment for these guys, like washing dead bodies for a few hundred hours or so.

Only in Thailand, a vicious murder involving chopping up the face with a meat cleaver leads the police to "have a chat" with the self-confessed perpetrators who were arrested by teachers and parents from their college!

p.s. Chopping up somebody's face with a meat cleaver suggests possibly a bit more going on here than killing somebody over a debt. I wonder if the 17-year-old doesn't handle rejection to his sexual advances well.

Hit her in the face with a meat cleaver, then again and again and again. Then move her to the bushes. The kid named 'A' will do it again. Bet 'B' or 'C' helped him move the body to the bushes and didn't bother to drop the dime on kid 'A'.

...just keep pretending there are no problems...social problems...drug problems...problems about morality......though.....

...wow...and an apology or confession 'will do it'.....make it all okay...make it go away....

...if this isn't insane....don't know what is....

A drug dealer gets murdered by 3 thugs with the combined intelligence of an amoeba. My heart grieves.

Send them to jail, a home from home, it makes no difference to these thugs.

...gives them time to get their stories straight..cause the interviewing officers have them all together..what a laugh at their techniques..guidelines only..just fill in the blanks for them.
