I'm visiting Thailand to see my brother who is living there and having a baby in March.

My plane departs the UK on 10/12/2006 and returns 28/01/2007 but it is extendable.

It is important that I stay at least until March to be there when the baby's born.

I'm confused about all the new regulations. Can anybody tell me what type of visa I should apply for?

Thanks

A single entry tourist visa will give you 60 days and can be extended for a further 30 days =90 days.

A double entry will give you twice the above but you will have to leave Thailand and come back again half way through your stay. Easy to do can be done in a day.

Suggest you contact the THAI Consulate in Hull. Much more friendly than the Embassy in London. Google it and have a look at the web site.
