Using Prakan Sang Kom for suspected appendectomy operation

Featured Replies

I've been feeling numb pain in my lower right abdomen .But it is not continues . I am worried it might end to appendicitis .

My company said if needs operation for " Say ting " that is what they call for appendicitis , then i just need to go to the hospital where my Social security " prakan sang kom " is registered then i dont need to pay anything ?

Anyone experienced appendicitis ? was it painful ? how many days need to stay in hospital ? how much it cost?

Anyone tried using their Prakan sang kom before ?

Thank you .

I've heard it can be very painful.

If you have Social Security it shouldn't cost you anything.

If it was me, I'd go the the hospital you have SS at and have the problem evaluated.

Good luck.

"prakan sang kom" = social security and all health care -- inpatient or outpatient, whatever the problem - will be free at the hospital you are registered at.

Many, many people use this system - literally everyone employed in the formal sector.

If it is appendicitis and treatment is delayed, the appendix can rupture causing a very serious situation in which case stay would be long. if dealt with promptly, usually just a night or two.

Will not cost you anything.

I had my appendix removed last June. I got away pretty easy as my pain was not too bad at all, just a weird pressure in the area and the occasional sharp pain. Mine was caught very early as I recognized the pain. It started under my left ribs on a Thursday night and by morning my ribs felt fine but I had this pressure in my lower right quadrant. I also did feel pretty drained and lightheaded the days preceeding. I had surgery that same Friday, surgery took 40 minutes. The worst part was the intense pain from the chest tube, I felt like I had been severley beaten with lead pipes from my jaw to my lower back and whole chest. The incision itself was totally painless, the chest tube pain was beyond painful and they only wanted to give me paracetamol. Luckily, I have a boyfriend that was not going to take their bs and got them to give me something stronger the first night. The soreness from the tube was gone in 3 days. All in all it was pretty decent for appendicitis. I had no insurance or very little, my employers aren't keen on paying extras. It was about $3000 US so not too bad. Good luck and I hope whatever the outcome, its quick and painless as can be. BTW this was performed at Pattaya Memorial, old school style, no laproscopy.
