Hello,

I am a Canadian female who is in Thailand doing some freelance journalist work.

I have plans to stay in Thailand until Jan 18.

I arrived in Thailand on Oct 22nd without a Visa- so I got a 30 day Visa stamp. My Visa expires on November 23rd.

I understand that I need to do a Visa run, which is not a problem But- I also have to attend a conference in Singapore early next month for a week as well as one more time before I leave Thailand.

I have got SEVERAL interpretions of the new rules. Some people tell me I can only re-enter the country 3 times and that second trip to Singapore shortly after my first Visa run will count as another VOA leaving me with only one more.

Some people say the first airport counts as a VOA- which means the Singapore trip will be my last VOA.

And others tell me I can go and leave Thailand as many times as I want- although my max. days in a row are 30 days (3 times) total time in Thailand being 90 days within a 180 day period.

SO CONFUSING!

So my question is- can you jump in and out of Thailand for a max of 90 days as many times as you want or only 3 times?

Please help asap!

Thanks~

As of now, it is maximum of 90 tourist visa exemption days in a 180 day period. They are NOT counting stamps. Just days.

Now I'm confused:

Dr. Patpong and Sunbelt have previouly stated that the days counted are for the 30 entry on arrival stamps. If you get a touris visa, that is not counted. Is this correct or not?

Why are you confused. We are talking about 30 day tourist visa exemption stamps (entry without visa) in this thread and Sunbelt has again confirmed that the 90 days are only supposed to be counted against this (visa exempt entry) stamp - not for tourist visas.

You can jump in and out of Thailand as many times as you wont in 180 days, as long as it does not count to 90 days within that time.

You can 100% jump in and out of Thailand within 90 days as many times as you wont, so you can enter time permitting to travel 90 times within 90 days, not that I think that would be possible.

30 day entry on arrival = 30 days tourist visa exemption These as I stated are not counted
