Jewelry Repair In Bangkok?

Featured Replies

I need to get my wedding ring resized. I'm in the USA and no one will touch it because it is 23K gold (Thai Gold). They don't have any 23K gold to repair it with.

I told my wife that I would get it done when we go to Bangkok next month. She says she knows lots of places to BUY gold but none of them have a jeweler on site to do a resize it for me.

I would like to get it done while I wait if possible.

Any recommendations would be much appreciated. I want to get this ###### string off my ring!

There is a reliable jewelry repairer in the MBK centre. I think

the shop is on level two or three ( I cant remember ) -it's the same

level as the exit ramp from the BTS station at National Stadium.

Any big gold shop will do it. If you have trouble finding one, go to Yaowarat (china town). Check the weight when you turn it in and when you pick it up. They will charge you for any gold added and a small fee for the work.

IME most gold shops do not do repair work. They will sell you a new item and then melt down the old one

for remanufacture.

I suggest you contact Lamberts, just off Silom Road.
