webfact
Two tech college students arrested for rival's murderImage: Daily NewsBANGKOK: -- Police in Bangkok have announced the quick arrest of two teenage technical college students charged in the murder of a 16 year rival from another school.Wisarut Sophabun, a second year engineering student at Kanchanapisek Mahanakorn technical college was stabbed to death on Sunday after meeting two rivals at a petrol station on the Liap Waree Road, reported Daily News.As the two rivals were leaving the Bang Chak gas station they made a sign of a sailing ship that meant they were students of Techno Bangkapi School. The victim gave chase as there had been bad blood between the groups after a shooting some months back.A fight broke out and the two youths stabbed him to death. Those allegedly responsible - named only as Tai , 18, and Marn ,17 - were arrested in Chumporn. They both admitted stabbing the victim while Marn admitted making the gesture that led to the confrontation. They were taken on a reenactment witnessed by many members of the public.Tai's mother Nataya, 48 and Chalor Traingam from the victim's college also gave speeches at the gathering. Acting police chief Sanit Mahathavorn encouraged everyone to make peaceful hand gestures that would promote harmony rather than cause fights.Nataya spoke about the trouble her son had caused his mum and dad and urged her son to think about his future if he didn't care about them. Both sets of parents are set to face charges under new regulations designed to stop inter college violence called 30/2559 though penalties will be at the discretion of the court. The 30/2559 regulations also aim to adjust finishing times of technical colleges to avoid confrontation at turning out time. Both the accused will face murder charges.Source: Daily News-- 2016-07-

Happy Grumpy
10m baht fine for the 'college', 100,000b fine for the college director. 1,000b fine for every student enrolled there. Some of the money going towards rewards for people that give information about weapons and illegal gang activity.

dopenhagen
"Tech Student", where I come from it's to a certain degree a revered status since it means you are generally good with technology, math and likely will proceed to engineering... I suppose in Thailand it means that you will be vulcanizing tires or working as an operator in a Canon factory production line judging by the aptitude of stupidity among these kids ? That being said - this poor dead fool can at least be used as an example to not react to inane provocation...
