Featured Replies

managed to get it connected to my router/network but internet does not work. also tried using bluetooth instead through my pc but to no avail.

anyone has any ideas on the settings? i managed to get it connected once a long time ago when my bro was using it. but now since its mine, i can't seem to get it connected to the net. GPRS works fine though.

Do you have any security settings turned on in your router? I found that my iPAQ 4700 has problems with DHCP when WEP or WPA encryption is turned on. I got rid of the problem by assigning it a static IP address.

crushdepth, i do have WEP and have already assigned a key for it on the PDA. also under settings for wi-fi, i assigned an ip for wi-fi connection with reference to "my network card connects to" 192.168.x.x

is that what a static ip address is? it is connected to the network but just does not get the internet sharing.
