November 25, 200619 yr Author The 1st Region Army Commander indicates that the undercurrent situation is still normal The 1st Region Army Commander, Lieutenant General Prayuth Chan-ocha (ประยุทธ์ จันทร์โอชา), said that the underground political movements in 26 central provinces are in a normal state. However, officials have been instructed to closely monitro the situation. Lt. Gen. Prayuth said that there has been no sign of violence rooted by political gatherings in the central region. Officials have been reminded to observe the political movements, including the rally on December 10th at Sanam Luang (สนามหลวง) Park, to prevent possible chaos caused by the third party. The 1st Region Army Commander, however, believes that the majority of people understand the government and the Council for National Security's (CNS) good intentions to dissolve the national conflicts. As a result, he has requested time for the authority to tackle the national problems.
