Samut Prakan and Pattani prison wardens moved to inactive posts

BANGKOK: -- The wardens of Samut Prakan and Pattani prisons have been moved to inactive positions at the Corrections Department in a reshuffle involving 19 positions.

No reasons were given by Mr Patikhom Wongsuwan, director-general of Corrections Department, for the abrupt transfer of Mr Wutthichai Jenviriyakul, warden of Samut Prakan prison, and Mr Nopporn Rattanawai, warden of Pattani prison, to the department.

However, informed sources said that Mr Patikhom’s transfer might stem from a widespread speculation that Mr Chonsawat Asavahame, former mayor of Samut Prakan provincial administrative organization, an inmate at Samut Prakan prison, might be granted a Royal pardon on the Mother’s Day occasion.

Nopporn’s removal might concern with the recent riot at the Pattani prison, said the sources.

The Samut Prakan and Pattani wardens were replaced by Mr Krit Wongwedh, warden of Khon Kaen prison, and Mr Sompob Sangkutkaew, director of Penology, respectively.

Something doesn't smell right

Well My take on this is that these people likely , really needed to be

moved and they finally were.

I see many people in Thailand getting moved and most of the time

it was because they quit being the people that they were, when they were

given those positions, and they ticked the wrong people off

who had the ability to transfer them.

Geezer  Happily retired, and rid of the bosses I once knew.

as i was saying about prisoners being sold into slavery.

also please check the warden in kanchanaburi.   many women dissapear from there.

This inactive posts building must be one of the largest buildings in Thailand,

and what do they do all day sit around playing cards,Oh !sorry that's illegal

Well, Asavahame was early released from prison today, according to Thai news reports, courtesy of being included in the annual royal pardon decree. Apparently, he served about a year of his original 18-month sentence for election fraud.
