Gas allegedly used by Syrian government forces in latest Aleppo bombing

ALEPPO: -- Medical sources in the besieged Syrian city of Aleppo say that President Assad’s forces may have again used chlorine bombs in a gas attack on a rebel-held residential district.

Doctors report dozens of cases of suffocation as local hospitals rapidly filled with panicked people. A rescue workers’ organisation, Syrian Civil Defence that operates in rebel-held areas claimed some 80 people needed treatment, and that government helicopters had dropped barrel bombs containing chlorine gas on Sukari in eastern Aleppo.

A UN report found last month that Syrian government forces had previously used toxic gas in attacks in 2014 and 2015 involving chlorine. The Syrian government has denied using chemical weapons in its five-year civil war. The army was unavailable for comment.

It's in Wikipedia too:

On April 7, 2016, the Sheikh Maqsood neighborhood in Aleppo was shelled with mortars containing chemical agents.[83] On April 8, a spokesman for the rebel group admitted that “forbidden” weapons had been used against Kurdish militia and civilians in Aleppo. He stated that “One of our commanders has unlawfully used a type of weapon that is not included in our list”. He did not specify what substances were used but, according to Red Crescent, the symptoms are consistent with the use of chlorine gas or other agents.

Just because one group uses chemical weapons doesn't justify the government using it on their own people.  Right??  This war needs to stop and all foreign powers need to take their troops home.  Then enforce a ceasefire.

The War Over Syria's Gas Fields

It's been reported about many times by many different news organizations.  But that's not what's causing the civil war.  Actions by a brutal dictator are.
