Jatuporn Prompan yesterday leads 18 fellow red-shirts to report to the Crime Suppression Division. The junta accused them of breaking its ban on political |gatherings by attempting to open referendum anti-fraud centres in June.

BANGKOK: -- JATUPORN PROMPAN and 18 other red-shirt leaders yesterday reported to crime-suppression police to face a charge of violating a junta ban on political gatherings.

A legal team of the military's ruling National Council for Peace and Order had filed a police complaint against the 19 for breaking NCPO Order 7/2557 when they attempted to kick off their referendum-fraud-monitoring centre in Bangkok on June 19.

If they are prosecuted, they will be tried in a military court, as their case involves internal security.

I'm sure it will be a fair trial.

It will just result with another slap on the wrist,.........

How many times have their jail sentences been suspended.  I've lost count.

Most of these fools should all be in jail already anyway, how many different crimes can you be out on bail for at the same time I wonder? Jatuporn for one seems to be up on different charges, yet bailing himself out every week. I still don't understand how Nattawut was never actually locked up for specifically ordering the burning of Bangkok. Unbelievable arrogance from him and stupidity from the courts from allowing such an unhinged lunatic talk like that and still stay out of jail.

In this particular case however, I did think they had a fair point to act. But it really would have been a standard foxes guarding the hen house situation. Maybe in a few years all of the current crop (military included) will be sharing a nice cushy cell together, because my god have they earned it.

Aren't the OAG supposed to be "considering" rescinding their bail on some of the other charges as they've broke the condition numerous times?

How quaint of the non elected non democratic mysteriously appointed leaders of the UDD to wear "fight for democracy" T-Shirts. Lovely.

Maybe they can borrow Yinglucks lawyer. What a whirling dervish. Sorry I cannot let me get started on lawyers.
