SAMUT SONGKHRAM: -- RAZOR CLAMS are dying off in the famous tourist attraction of Don Hoi Lot river delta in Samut Songkhram province, near the same area where dozens of giant freshwater stingrays were recently found dead.

The number of dead stingrays found in the Mae Klong River, which runs through Samut Songkhram and nearby Ratchaburi province, now stands at 45, Samut Songkhram's fisheries chief Utai Singtothong said, as three more carcasses were found yesterday.

Water pollution - the suspected cause of the stingray deaths - already has taken a toll on the Don Hoi Lot river delta.

Hurry up and get that dead marine life to the market before everyone learns about the pollution.

or just say it came from somewhere else.

Either way you will be eating it in BKK by closing hours.

Bon Apetit !

There have been a lot of stories this year of the plastic microbeads that are being banned around the world. They are found in everything from toothpaste, soap, shampoo and laundry detergent. Over 680 tons of these have entered the UK waters alone but they are found in every nation. These are just one more addition to the junk that humans spill into the ecosystem. Nature is doomed because humans just don't care about it. They care about humans and human happiness first. More and more humans is not an issue to governments but in reality every human will add a massive increase into the pollution and waste going into the environment just from their existence. We do live in a world of lies and denial in general and this one point is the greatest point denied by humanity. We can live with less people on this planet. Leaders should be addressing this issue now.

Tragic

An environmental protection group in Ratchaburi has filed a complaint against a Ban Pong-based sugar factory, suspecting it may have discharged foul water into the Mae Klong River.

These razor clams will be charged with Defamation.

Maybe stay away from the Hoy Tod at the Amphawa Floating Market this week?

What would you suggest mass extermination of us old farts. Politicians are doing everything they can to entice people to have more children. Write your congressman or whoever makes up the silly rules you and I abide by.

Unfortunately very few people seem to be prepared not to reproduce.

The willingness of humanity to overpopulate the planet (thereby ensuring it's own destruction) is the one fundamental and unpalatable truth that can never be spoken.

Try not to let yourself be overwhelmed by it.  You have have only a short time to contemplate, and come to terms with, your own end.

We occupy a miniscule fragment of all that has been, is, and will be.

Humanity is but a puff of wind blowing briefly across the billions of years face of the endless cosmos.

Barely registering and leaving no trace.

(I was going to quote Hildegard of Bingen, although not a Christian myself, but that would guarantee all the Aetheo-Nazis screaming in).

There, saved you the trouble, and no mention of you know who.....................

Glance at the sun. See the moon and the stars.
Gaze at the beauty of earth’s greenings.
Now, think.
What delight  xxx  gives to humankind
with all these things .
All nature is at the disposal of humankind.
We are to work with it. For
without we cannot survive.

I've got a set of plastic beads, I sterilize them after use in boiling water. So as not to pollute myself. Never put toothpaste on them, oh no!

I suggest they start by bumping off boring posters on Thai Visa. Up against the wall, you.
