khunPer
What may the 30-year old man be interested in – for example scuba diving or...? FullMoon Party or a quiet Bounty-style beach..? etc. – that may make answers more usable. I can mainly reply for Koh Samaui, and a bit Koh Phangan, but will gladly try to help you. "Middle range accommodation", shall I presume that's in the level around 1,500 baht..? Edited October 12, 2016 by khunPer
ronaldo0
Plenty of accommodation in samui for all budgets. Things to do. Walking street in one of the towns , big Buddha, fisherman's village for some food and drinks , chaweng has solo bar or ark bar for nightlife. Things to avoid. Getting ripped off by taxis , hiring a bike to get around the island , drink driving , confrontation with anyone .
