Governor Repeals Loy Kratong Cancellation, Just no Entertainment at the Festival

CHIANG MAI:-- CityNews – Chiang Mai Governor Prawin Chamniprasart announced today that the Loy Kratong Ye-Peng Festival will no longer be cancelled, but the organised events will have no entertainment.

Phuket temples hold chanting rituals for King Bhumibol

PHUKET:-- Monks from a number of the island’s Buddhist temples will be holding chanting rituals as part of the funeral rites for His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej who passed away on Thursday (Oct 13). The rituals will continue until 30 days after the death of His Majesty.

Phuket bars and entertainment venues in low-key reopening tomorrow

PHUKET:-- Bars and other entertainment venues in Phuket’s main entertainment hub, Patong, will be allowed to reopen tomorrow albeit with a lot softer approach than is usual for such venues.
