PATTAYA: -- Pattaya One reporters were informed of a crowd of men and women gathering in front of the Skin Art Tattoo shop and so went along to find out what was happening.

The temporary shop is located in front of the Pattaya Dragon Project on Second Road, Central Pattaya (just before the Alcazar Cabaret Show) and five tattoo artists have set up to offer free tattoos, for a limited period.

Thirty-four year old artist said the idea came about as their symbolic way to honour the life of King Bhumibol Aduluadej and for tattoo fans to have his royal image etched onto their skin permanently.

The artists have said they will only consider royal images, logos or standards and not that of their beloved king himself, as a way of showing their love.

They have said they can only manage around fifty images per day so fans are encouraged to get down to the queue as soon as possible. The shop opens at 1pm and today is the final scheduled day of three.
