Confusion reigns on first day of new order for passenger vans

Confusion reigned on the first day of the introduction of a new order requiring all passenger vans to park at three bus terminals as many passengers took extra time to find the vans they wanted to travel while several others complained of having to pay more expenses to travel to the bus terminals.

Three bus terminals have been designated for passenger vans to park instead of the one at the Victory Monument. The Morchit or Chatuchak bus terminal is for vans serving the northeastern, northern and central routes; the southern bus terminal for vans serving the southern route and the Ekamai bus terminal for eastern route.

The Bangkok Mass Transit Authority has provided free bus services at Victory Monument to take passengers to the three bus terminals.

That would actually be pretty hard to organise. Funny that hey?

When introducing  a new system, confusion reigns first ......

Good thinkin', MTA...clutter up the now clutter-free VM area with busses to drive people to the vans.

Hello, Left Hand? This is the Right Hand. Whatcha doin' ??

The alternative is they take a van. So yes, great idea.

Edit, seems the app is screwing up quotes.

Yep. There's a twenty year plan for that.

They will go back to same old same old, in a month.

So, you go to the northern terminal to go north, eastern for east and southern for south, if that's confusing maybe you stay at home for your own safety or seek adult supervision.

Hardly the fault of the powers that be, fair warning was given regarding the departure point changes.

The passengers are  the (ir)responsible ones for ignoring the  notices  and press releases.  Walk around with eyes and ears closed and we now or they now see the result of those practices.None so blind as those that will not see, none so deaf as those who will not hear.

Yet another fine example of the delights of a ''spoon fed give me the answer  education indoctrination system.'' No ability to think in the box let alone out of it.

Oh and before you jump on me,  my birthright is English Thai or Thai English. My countries and my peoples.

no typically things just go back to the way they were before and there will be sporadic ineffective crackdowns to extort some fines. just be patient some times it takes a bit longer.

No worries......drivers will make up for the lost time @ 350km/h.

It will not last for ever ,people will get to know  were  they passenger van  leaves  from and will go  to that  place , the problem will be some people  will use the  free service ,because it is free the BMTA  wants to charge passengers ,in say  3 weeks time  for the service ,I would say with in  2-3  weeks BMTA will have stopped  there   service, no one using it  and  VM  will  be back to normal ,may even be quieter  as  a lot of the street sellers will have  stopped  selling   to ,no market  for what ever they where  selling.

In Thailand ...yes......in the rest of the world it would be easy....

No, not a great idea nor in any way a good alternative. The alternative would be a free van or bus system from Mo Chit to the bus terminal, which is a hike. But not from VM. That's the whole reason they got rid of it as a transport hub. It's not like everybody lives in VM. On average, people gotta pay to go there. Now they just have to pay to go some other place, but the price difference on average won't be huge.

I disagree, it would be easy to organise anywhere.
