Abortion In Thailand

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,

please enlighten me. I have just read that induced abortion is illegal in Thailand. Is this true? What do women do with unwanted pregnancies?

Thanks,

Michael

Women with an unwanted pregnancy get an abortion, logical huh!

Yes, it's illegal but so is prostitution and corruption. It's money that you need in Thailand and with money you can get anything you want.

Dutchy

Medication which causes spontaneous abortion is also readily available, but this can be very traumatic for the woman, as from what I understand it will be somewhat similar to a miscarriage. The trauma is of course always part of the process.

Spontaneous abortion is six or seven dragee's of Postinor taken on an empty stomach. Yes, traumatic process. Cheers.

About a year ago , here in Pattaya, a women was busted for running a back street abortion clinic ( abbatoire).

The police only found out because there was a post-op girl on the steps outside losing a lot of blood in a right old state.

The police made a big song and dance about it on TV singing their own praises and slapping themselves on the back.

Then it was revealed the person in question had been busted a year before for the same offence, in the SAME room.

Moral of this story ....if you offer this kind of service never cancel your direct debit with the boys in brown, because THAT'S illegal :o

It's funny how the mods stick with a law that none seems to give a ###### about it and some people who really need info on how to do this safely are suffering.

The 'mods' are implementing the forum rules of 'no discussion of illegal activities'. Previous topics of this nature have been shut down but not removed so a simple search will give the answers. Specifically this.

"In Thailand abortion is against the law except in cases of risk to a woman's health or if the pregnancy is the result of rape or other sexual crimes."

And as such this one is closed also.
