Year-end night mass prayer and candle lighting for the beloved King scheduled

 

BANGKOK:-- The government is now prepared what it called "Candle Light of Siam" on the year-end night of December 31 with mass prayer across the country to dedicate to the beloved late King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

 

The significant event features no entertainment activities or fireworks but mainly religious related activities in remembrance and tribute to the late King.

Deputy prime minister Gen Tanasak Patimaprakorn said  the main objective of the year-end event was to maintain the country’s three pillars – the nation, the religion, and the monarch.

 

On the night of December 31, mass prayer will be held at three places, Sanam Luang ceremonial ground, 31,000 temples in Bangkok and provinces and at general public places.
