rooster59
In the blink of an eye - taxi driver felled as car skids off road Image: Thairath Our video this morning shows a completely innocent taxi driver preparing to have a spot of lunch at a well know restaurant on the Rachapreuk Road in Nonthaburi yesterday. But before he leaves the side of his vehicle a red car comes careering off the main road and collides with a Pajero parked next to him. The taxi driver lives but is trapped underneath the debris in a pall of dust. The accident happened at 11 am outside the Krua Khun Ying restaurant and was posted online by the restaurant from their CCTV footage. A quarter of a million people viewed the action. Police said that the driver of the red car that caused all the trouble said that a burst tire caused a loss of control and the brakes wouldn't work. The driver has been charged with negligent driving causing damage and injury. All injured people were sent to Kasem Rat hospital. No, the truth is he told the police that a tyre burst causing him to lose control. Attempting to brake hard with a burst tyre on an out of control vehicle would seem like the brakes weren't working.
