RockyMtnJay
I just got back from Jomtien where I tried to extent my SETV 30 days. I was turned away because I can only extend the visa up to three days before it expires. It used to be two weeks or something like that. If you used an agent they encouraged to do it early. Maybe this changed a while ago and I wasn't paying attention. Two or my three days are Saturday and Sunday. Will they give me until Monday or do I need to be damn sure I get it done next Friday? Briggsy
I extended my Tourist Visa at Jomtien in November. It still had 3 and a half weeks to run. I must have got lucky. I suspect this may be to do with them being extremely busy in the first few days after the New Year's break. High season and all that.
elviajero
You can apply on or before the 'admitted until' date stamped in your passport. If the 'admitted until' date falls on a weekend you can apply on the next working day and shouldn't be fined for overstaying.
thaitero
This is "busy time" policy at jomtien. Same before in earlier years..
RockyMtnJay
Thanks for the info all. Does anyone know the approximate dates of "busy time". I would like to avoid it next time if possible.
