Retirement Non-O visa.

Recommended Posts

Is this Visa still available back in your country??? is this Visa still available in North America-Europe-Australia at Thai consulates??, Visa Eligible only if you were over 50 years old. One year Visa retirement I think it was called retirement Non-O visa for 6 or 12 months, visa used to be only 5000 Thai money for 12 months, and you could travel around Thai doing a border run every three months to keep it activated .

At one time you could apply for a multiple entry non-o visa for being 50 or over at many honorary Thai consulates but in August of last year they stopped allowing any multiple entry non-o visa from being issued at most locations.

One year Thai non-imm O-A visa, over 50 years old requirement, still available in some countries Sweden is okay. IM sure many people around the world would love to know what countries this is still available ???    Is your country still issuing O-A visa ???.

As Global Administrator has just announced from August of last year 2016 Thai Government stopped allowing multiple entry non-o visa from being issued at most locations, what about your country ????????.

That was at honorary Thai consulates. Honorary consulates cannot issue a OA long stay visa that allows unlimited one year entry for a year from the date of issue. A OA visa can only be issued at an embassy or official Thai consulate in your home country or country of legal residence.

A non-o visa based upon being 50 or over for retirement is issued at very few embassies and official consulates in your home country since they can issue OA visas. If a honorary consulate is available they can issue a single entry non-o visa since they cannot issue a OA visa.

If Multiple-Entry Non-O Visas based on retirement (over 50 + money-proof) are still available in the region next year, that will be what I will do when I reach the magic-age.  The office closest to me (Jomtien) is fairly-friendly now, but who knows when that might change.  Better to avoid immigration-offices entirely, imo, when/if possible.

Any updates on if Savannakhet still allows retirement visa without funds proof?

I am not aware of them ever doing a non-o visa for being 50 or over for retirement without financial proof.

OK my mistake it was Marriage O that people have reported with no proof of funds.

How does this work ??, I have friends married living in Thailand, but they talk about having to have funds of a few hundred thousand or so in a Thai Bank for a few months or so before applying for visa.

Anyone with a Thai spouse can get a Multi Entry Non Imm O Visa from Savanakhet Laos.

They do not have to show any bank balance.

For a 12 month extension within Thailand they need 400,000 Baht in a Thai bank for 2 months or 40,000 Baht monthly income.
