Aid is poured into flood-hit South

BANGKOK, 9 January 2017 (NNT) - Many sectors in the society have sent donations to the southern provinces affected by the flooding conditions.

Samut Sakhon province on Sunday sent supplies and food to a disaster prevention and mitigation center in Surat Thani for distribution to the flood-affected people in the southern region.

Provincial Governor of Pathum Thani Surachai Khan-arsa and his staff gave three tons of rice and 20,000 eggs to the Princess Pa Foundation for the flood-hit provinces. 12 trucks will bring items donated by people in Pathum Thani to the provinces on Monday.

The State Railway of Thailand is receiving donations including rice, drinking water, canned food, medications and other necessary items for the flood-affected people.

Commander of the Bangkok Naval Base Rear Admiral Wasinsan Chanthawarin on Sunday presided over the opening ceremony of a donation center for the southern provinces.

to help dilute the caustic garbage?

No help is forthcoming to us here, apart from the Bodysnatchers who I must take my hat off to for having the balls to stand firm and offer what little reassurance and solidarity they can. Credit where it is due..

Edit: I would also like to salute the Electricity Board for their sterling efforts to keep the supply running. We have had outages, but never for more than a couple of hours at a time.
