Wat Dhammakaya has lost contact with Ong-art for several days: Phra Maha Nopporn

BANGKOK: -- Wat Dhammakaya is not sure that the image of Ong-art Thamnitha, former spokesman of the temple, which was widely shared in the social media is new or hold because the temple has not been in contact with him for several days.

Phra Maha Nopporn Punyachayo, assistant director of the communications organization of Dhammakaya, noted that Ong-art appeared a bit leaner in the latest image compared to the image on December 11, but he said the person most qualified to clear the doubt about the image was the one who first posted the image in the social media.

The monk added that he had not received any words from the former spokesman since he went underground nor had he contacted the latter.

Regarding the claim by Dr Mano Laovanich, a former close aide of Phra Dhammachayo, that the former abbot had already left the temple quietly together with five containers stuffed with valuables late December, Phra Maha Nopporn said the temple had no comment on the issue as it thought that the public in general would be able to judge the claim by themselves.

Yeap. I wanna see all these scumbags in prison, but at the same time, I'm really enjoying watching them embarrass and humiliate the people in power who claim to be all so powerful.

TV producers will soon be lining this up for a new soap opera on television.

Best story line they could ever find.

Temple cult making fools out of police/ government, showing what a failure the present government is.

It's almost like a Thai-version of 'Father Ted' !

Enough time to flee the scene...

"5 containers" <deleted>!!

Why would he take 5 containers of valuables, are they not the temples valuables ?

"...the person most qualified to clear the doubt about the image was the one who first posted the image in the social media..." - WRONG !!!

Actually, the person most qualified to clear the doubt about the image is the errant monk himself !!!

His clandestine departure from the "temple", allegedly with five containers stuffed with valuables, suggests that the best we'll get though will be a postcard from some distant shore.

Apparently, DSI have even been in touch with the French police for assistance in locating the saffron spruiker, so you could say:

“They seek him here, they seek him there,
DSI seek him everywhere!
Is he in Thailand or is he in France?
Dhammakaya's elusive shady nance”

".. the former abbot had already left the temple quietly together with five containers stuffed with valuables late December," Is there an "aiding and abetting a fugitive" law here in Thailand? I assume he didn't pack those out by himself. Are we talking containers, like ones on container ships? "How ya gonna keep em down on the farm, once they've seen Pareee"?

With all of the recent scrutiny on the temple how could this go under the radar? Unless it was all planned. Remember what I said about Mr P knowing exactly what's going on there as he may be connected himself. I am sure that MANY around him are. So is the laundromat officially closed now that all of the cleaned goods has left?

This is as much about the ignorance, naivety, and gullibility of Thais to continue giving away the farm to these fraudsters in the name of "making merit" What about their loss of face?

As I say to my missus, who's slowly but surely giving up on religion; "Just because something offers you comfort doesn't make it true".

She still hands over cash, but she's much more careful now. 'Invest wisely', I say. That really annoys her.

Judge the claim by ourselves yeah right. 5 containers stuffed with valuables you better take inventory of the temples valuables immediately. Containers can be a misleading word were they shipping containers what size? If the containers were only suitcases the good abbot might indeed return to do the laundry.

Gives new meaning to the word share.

...delay after delay.....

...what was the expected outcome....???

... it seems that we see this 'pattern' time and again....for 'certain individuals'....???
