5 protesters ordered to pay Bt95m for building shutdown

BANGKOK: -- THE CIVIL COURT has ordered five protest leaders to pay Bt95 million in compensation to a building owner for the 2014 occupation of the PTT headquarters and the Energy Ministry during the “Bangkok Shutdown”.

 

The verdict against Somkiat Pongpaiboon, a former leader of the People’s Alliance for Democracy (PAD), and four core members of the Thai Energy Network, including Dr Raweewat Maschamadol, was announced yesterday.

 

These five defendants led protesters in occupying the Energy Complex, which housed the PTT headquarters and the Energy Ministry, as parts of a series of anti-government rallies.

Wonder how much the judge gets 

A verdict like this is called "going for broke" same as YL. It will snow in Thailand before these fines can be paid. I doubt if these guys are connected.
