Prosecutor - did yl attend a rice meeting? Witness - no, the pm has permanent secretaries, deputy secretaries and teams of competent officials to attend and report back to her. Prosecutor - did yl try to stop the corruption? ? Witness - nobody has been convicted of corruption in a court of law, so the question is irrelevant at this time. Prosecutor - did yl listen to advisors or her brother. Witness - hearsay, who knows? ? Prosecutor - was she upset the farmers killed themselves as they not paid? Witness - She was upset that a party that cannot win an election, blocked and threatened banks that wanted to pay the money. She was upset that she had no military assistance to stop the shut down of the country.she didn't have to worry about losing votes. That a democrat problem.
February 3, 20179 yr At last a thread in which "people who think that a Junta is better than an elected government under current conditions" (let's be politically correct ;)) can let off steam! They have been under pressure with so many threads to avoid about the Junta. Edited February 3, 20179 yr by candide
February 3, 20179 yr I am struggling to follow this, nearly every country in the world has a food subsidy program including Thailands current PMs program So how did the rice disappear? or was it it could not be sold as the price requested was to high. or the MILL owners where at it again and we all know who owns the mills. Question did she nick the rice and sell it, or could Thailand not sell it because Vietnam and Cambodia + have now expanded their production and Quality Love to know before making up my mind, because right now it looks like a propaganda effort to discredit going down. That P letter again gets in everywhere

Etc... Face facts the original protest was about the amnesty. When the government agreed to drop the bill (democracy at its finest ) the majority of protesters went home. Suthep and his cronies were looking for a way to keep the protests going. Budah isara met with a few unhappy farmers, and the crisis of the rice scheme began. Ureka the reason to continue protests as stepping board to the current situation was born. I suspect it would not have mattered which party was in power, some thought the country in need of a special kind of reform.
