HAMBURG, Germany (Reuters) - A German tourist attraction that features miniature models of various parts of the world has put up a wall around the United States, in a dig at President Donald Trump's plan to build a full-sized one on the border with Mexico.

The display at Miniature Wonderland, which Trip Advisor rates as the top destination in the city of Hamburg, is a hit with tourists, including some from the United States, who are usually drawn by its vast model railway.

Visitors on Friday could be seen peering over a miniature concrete wall topped with razor wire to look at sites such as a tiny Mount Rushmore and a Las Vegas skyline.

The slogan "Let the world be great again" was scribbled on the wall, a reference to Trump's election slogan "Make America Great Again".

"I don't want to tell anyone what to think. Everybody should look at that wall, and then decide regardless of whether they are on the left, right or center," said Gerrit Braun, co-founder of Miniatur Wunderland.

"The main thing is that the people think about it."

Ryan Ott, a tourist from the United States, said: "I think it's a good use of humor, which is what the world needs, I think, right now to help cope with what's happening in our country."

Just wondering what the reaction would be to a country which banned all Christians from the USA from entering their country?

Once again, the Germans having a laugh!

The best one is that they hold the Oktoberfest in September!

Pity they did not build a wall at their own boarders, or even defend them in any way.

Instead they flung them open to all. Fools!

Not quite, but enough to show a population who are well aware of what went on, and more than willing to acknowledge the guilt and try to do something better:

Who cares?

Maybe Trump should care a little bit about the positive branding attributes that "America" has in abundance ... until now , linked to principles of individual freedom and power, far more likely to lead to world peace than statecraft based on territory, economic power, ideologies, politics or religion... unless he thinks it's now "Trump Land" ( gated community, tax haven for the wealthy, and  casino...).

Talking of sour grapes...

This is satire. You should get over it.

Troll post removed.

Interested parties in this thread would do well to consider the German viewpoint being made here... if any nation has experience of what walls can do to a country it's the Germans.

Was about to ask if they also included the Berlin Wall, The Great Wall of China, The new Israeli Wall along the West Bank, etc. :whistling:
