BANGKOK: -- A graduate has complained to tech police after images of her in a skimpy academic ceremony outfit were shared online.

She wants to claim damages to her reputation from people who shared the pictures.

Lalita Reuangthong, 24, graduated last year and said that she went to the ceremony at her university in the proper respectable outfit.

The pictures of her posing showing her legs and a short skirt with an academic gown were for her own personal use and should not have been shared, she said, reported Kapook.

She said that a great number of people had condemned her causing her a loss of reputation.

"It was not my intention to be disrespectful to the university and any suggestion of that is false," she said.

She apologized to her university for the embarrassment caused.

Some 15,000 posters shared the pictures with comments ranging from "you should go after the photographer who put them online" to "you're only trying to get a husband quickly, love".

Much ado about nothing.  She shows her legs.  Big deal.  What's with all the fuss?  Very slow news day, or what?   And how, exactly, has she disrespected the university?   She has absolutely nothing to say sorry for.  Perhaps the university should apologize to her and all the other 'graduates' for taking their money and giving them nothing but a useless piece of paper in return.

To all those who gave her negative comments or complained, perhaps they should remember the old adage... 'If you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all.'

I would also like to add that the 'photographer' should have asked for her permission to post the photos on the internet.

She is cute and need money for her university debt and a good way to pay is to have a job and if no job well////let be risky and perhaps it will pay back. She already start the process by wanting to sue all viewers kind of crazy that is.

Today's economy make every one hungry and desperate and will do all it takes to achieve goals.

If they were naked pictures in the privacy of a bedroom, etc, she'd absolutely have grounds. End of the day she took the pictures outside. If you really don't like the fact they've been shared online, go to the police and ask for privacy. Is this all fair? No. But then life isn't fair. You have to be careful nowadays with your pictures.

You've now made the news which will make some people who'd have never had any ideas about these pictures curious to see. Horrible men and women will probably pass scathing comments because they're unhappy and horrible people. Life's full of people like this.

If she signed all the rights away to the photographer before taking them or she didn't read the small print from the photography company then she can forget it !! I would say the company will have a clause in place saying they hold all rights to the photos to do what they want with them and she would have been too busy thinking off fame to bother reading this.
