Retired boxer Songpol Buasoot “re-enacts” his alleged crime of lifting a golden* necklace from a monk’s pig traveling companion Monday at Bangkok’s Tha Rua Police Station (*not actually gold).

BANGKOK — A former boxer fallen on hard times was arrested for allegedly snatching what he thought was a gold necklace from a pig walking with a monk Monday morning in a Bangkok market.

Wichai Wichayo and his male pig, called Boonchuay, were collecting morning alms at the Khlong Toei market at about 8:35am when the suspect struck, snatching a gold necklace worn by the animal, which was also mounted with a radio and stuffed monkey.

How low can you go as a boxer?? Stealing a fake necklace from a monks' pig.....555555  :cheesy:

Thailand only krab.

And they brought him to the "Tarffic operation room" :cheesy:

Read the headline and was totally baffled what the story might be about. Opened it to find it was exactly the same as what the headline said 555

Im so happy for a moment I thought they might have been telling a porky pie but being true it will leave a sow er taste in the boxers mouth for a while when his bore d in jail

I can't get the word "loser" out of my head.

You steal from a pig. What you steal is fake. You can't even get away!

Go and do your time you stupid loser.

A monk and a pig?  Where are Monkey, Sandy and the horse?

When he was a 'boxer', he was obviously not very successful, and probably got battered around the ring a few times.

When he gets imprisoned, he might have the same experience ! :cheesy:

Thailand.......Always good for a laugh!

Why was the monk dressing up his pig?

And, why does the pig look worried?

Now that would make interesting reading

I took pig in the Trumpian sense, referring to a fat female.  At least the title made some sense that way.

I say TIT. This story has been a great laugh for me.

I can't quit chuckling.

Is the monk doing children's parties at Mc Donalds?

I can't believe he reenacted the crime.  What a chump.

Very perceptive. Are you teaching here?

No, but thanks for asking.

You evidently missed the irony - there's enough weird detail in the facts of this case that it didn't need any embellishment, the headline pretty much wrote itself with no need for the usual exaggeration or spin. Far too often headlines are clickbait so this was a refreshing change. Whichever journalist submitted the story must have been tickled pink when it landed in their lap.
