BANGKOK — National park officials said Wednesday they are hunting for poachers who have been showing off their illegal kills and trading protecting species online.

Big brave Thai men..what happened to the Police head honcho caught doing this then??? the one whose name mysteriously vanished from the charge  sheet..................more disgusting filth, problem is theres  so  much of it.....they get the society and govt they deserve they really do

Easy to stop these scum, charge them the "farang" price to enter the park.

Thailand's progress in this area is disgusting , if they committed as much in recourses into social programs and in higher education standards as they spend money on an over bloated military system, the country would be more respected Internationally............................:coffee1:

Always upsetting.  But Thailand is way better than some Asian countries.  In Taiwan the markets have stall after stall with rare animal parts.  I saw monkey hands ands and bear paws hung in rows and was offered big cat meat.  Also on offer was live monkey brains.  Where they crack open the skull and you eat the brains with a spoon.

What are the rules?

Are you allowed to kill and eat the rice field rats? Are you allowed to catch,  kill and eat the snakes eating your rice field rats? Are you allowed to kill and eat the wild pigs roaming your fields and destroying your crops? Are you allowed to catch and eat the fish from the fresh water reservoirs and rivers? And what about the birds feasting on the fruit on the trees in your fruit yard?

At some point it has to boil down to common sense.
