Thai PBS staff members on Thursday showed up to give moral support to their director-general, Mr Kritsada Ruengareerat, after his announcement to quit his job to demonstrate his spirit and responsibility over the CPF investment controversy.

 

Bouquets of flowers were presented to Mr Kritsada who told the staff that his decision to quit was his own and that he was not pressured by the board of governors to resign. He also urged his staff to continue their jobs as normal and to be mindful of their responsibility as public broadcaster for public interest.

 

It was reported that Thai PBS invested about 100 million baht in bonds of CPF, a unit of Charoen Pokphand conglomerate.
