Non B and Dependents

Featured Replies

Looking for information on being the holder of a Non B visa and a work permit. I am married with a son of 17. What is required for my wife and son to be attached to my Non B and avoid having to do 90 day border runs. The lawyer who looked after my visa said they can get a Non O but would be required to leave every 90 days. Looked through the search function here but maybe I didn't put in the correct search parameters and couldn't find an answer. Is the lawyer correct that they have to leave every 90 days. Thanks in advance for anyone that can point me in the right direction and save me the trouble brewing with the wife.

Do you have a one year extension of permission to stay issued by your local immigration office?

Have a one year extension on Non B.

If you have an extension of stay you wife and son can get extensions as your dependents.

Your marriage certificate and you son' birth certificate would be needed to apply for the extensions. The certificates would have to legalized by your embassy if possible. Some embassies will also allow you do a self certification of them by do doing a statement or affidavit that they are true and correct that immigration will accept.

Thanks ubonjoe. I might not be in the doghouse anymore. She wasn't keen on travelling every 90 days.
