roamer Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 Not seeing this anywhere else on the forum. Likely to be followed by other nations I guess. Will have a huge effect on flights through the middle east. " The US is banning electronic devices from cabin baggage on flights from eight mainly Middle Eastern and North African countries. A US government source told the BBC that the measure would affect nine airlines operating out of 10 airports. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-39333424
Lancashirelad Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 I've just come here to look for this topic. Seem the UK is to follow suit. This is going to cause chaos. I usually do put my laptop in checked luggage for long haul flights, but last time I took a domestic flight in Thailand, it wasn't allowed in checked luggage. There needs to be more uniformity with airport security in general. What about those who wish to carry a computer but have no luggage to check in?
