BANGKOK: -- An anti-graft body will on Friday hold a press conference on the assets-confiscation case involving former Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) governor Juthamas Siriwan.

The National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) will provide an update on the money seizure action against Juthamas and the following of the money trail in relation to her. The conference is slated to start at 11am at NACC headquarters.

The NACC launched the investigation into Juthamas after alleging she had become unusually wealthy by using her role as TAT governor to acquire inappropriate assets.

Two years ago, the Office of Attorney-General (OAG) indicted her over an alleged Bt60 million bribe in relation to the Bangkok International Film Festival scandal.

The OAG and NACC accused Juthamas of taking bribes from a Los Angeles film-making couple who were awarded a contract to organise the film events in Bangkok between 2003-2006 without going through a proper bidding process.

My guess. They will confiscate but not incarcerate.

So long ago seems like another lifetime.

Maybe the task to find an inactive post for an ex- governor is not that easy...

No worst then any politician now TIT
