Visa advice required for Croatian national

Featured Replies

Hi everyone

Here is the situation - my friend -who is a Croatian national - is flying into Don Muang early evening, before flying on to Bali very early the following morning from Don Muang (12 hour layover). She is spending the night at the Amari Don Muang (which is connected directly by lift/walkway to the airport building).

I am aware that as a Croatian passport holder she needs a visa proper prior to arrival in Thailand - however as she is 'in transit' so to speak and not leaving the airport/walkway/hotel......will she still be required to get the visa even for this 12 hour stay in the hotel?

many thanks

LKK

She will not be able to enter the country without a visa which would be required for her to get to the hotel.

Unless she has a connecting flight that would allow her to remain in the transit area she will not be allowed to board her fight to here.

She needs to get a visa before starting her trip.

Thanks Joe, much appreciated

Although mot the most comfortable airport to try to catch some sleep airside, it might be worth considering not passing immigration at all. For a shower and change of clothing, you can either use one of the lounges or a massage place.
