rooster59
Contract for installing e-ticket system on buses held up A joint venture of Thai company and its South Korean partner has won the bid to install electronic ticketing system on 2,600 buses of Bangkok Mass Transit Authority, but a contract cannot be signed yet because a condition regarding maintenance is missing. BMTA acting director Somsak Hommuang said on Friday that the Office of the Attorney-General had pointed out that the contract was incomplete as it lacks a condition on maintenance which needs to be included. The winner of the 1,786-million baht project to install electronic ticketing system on 2,600 city buses was a joint venture between Chor Thavee company and CHO, a South Korean firm. Mr Somsak added that the new TOR of BMTA’s project to procure 489 NGV buses at an estimated cost of four billion baht had been uploaded on the agency’s website for feedbacks from members of the public and all parties concerned.
