BANGKOK: -- Super-car importer Panusak “Boy Unity” Techaterasiri on Wednesday filed suit against the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) over its May 24 raids on his showrooms in which about 30 vehicles were seized.

Panusak filed the Bt50-million lawsuit in the Central Criminal Court for Corruption and Misconduct Cases in Bangkok.

The raids were part of an ongoing DSI investigation into the evasion of taxes on car imports and the theft of vehicles in Britain. Panusak has not been charged with any crime.

Panusak had on Monday vowed to sue the DSI because the “unlawful” raids and confiscations from his two showrooms had dealt his company a heavy financial blow.

He insisted that all of the luxury cars impounded by the DSI had been imported in accordance with proper procedures.

He has not been charged as said above. Furthermore it has been noted that their was no warrants either. This could get expensive for the DSI.

DSI are pretty much up the food chain. doubt there will be many problems for them. wonder if they are enjoying their new cars.
