Non-F visa, possible to be extended for 30 days?

Recommended Posts

Hello guys,

would like to ask if possible to extend Non-F visa after expiry date to another month,

As other types of visas that could be extended to 30 days and pay 1900 THB,

For the Non-F is also possible? and what are the needed requirements to prepare?

Thanks.

 1. REQUIREMENT  (NON - F)

This type of visa is issued to applicants who wish to enter the Kingdom to perform official duties as:

1.2 Laissez Passer-holder and their family members who will assume duty in Thailand

1.3 Ordinary passport-holder who will attend the meeting with invitation of the Royal Thai Government

1.4 Ordinary passport-holder who received a scholarship of the Thailand International Development
      Cooperation Agency (TICA)

2. DOCUMENTS REQUIRED

 - Visa application form completely filled out

 - Note Verbal and/or Invitation letter issued by the foreign government or international
organization, certifying the identity of the person concerned and his/her purposes while
  residing in the Kingdom

 - Passport or travel document with validity not less than 6 months + 1 copy of passport

 - Two recent (4 x 6 cm.) photograph of the applicant

 - Copy of evidence of travel to/from Thailand (confirmed air ticket paid in full/booking)

 - Evidence of hotel / accommodation booking

 - Evidence of adequate finance

 - International Health Certificate on Yellow Fever vaccination + 1 copy

 - Medical Certificate (Un certificat medical attestant l'absence de toutes maladies infectieuses)

Consular officers reserve the rights to request additional documents as deemed necessary.

Applicants are required to apply for a visa in person.

 3. VISA FEE

35,000 FCFA (Single)  (Visa fee may be changed without prior notice)

 4. VALIDITY OF A VISA

The validity of a visa is 3 months.

 5. EXTENSION OF STAY

Those who wish to stay longer or may wish to change their type of visa
must file an application for permission at

The Office of Immigration Bureau
Government Center B, Chaengwattana Soi 7,
Laksi, Bangkok 10210, Tel: +662-141-9889
or at http://www.immigration.go.th

The extension of stay as well as the change of certain type of visa is solely
at the discretion of the Immigration officer.

Based on the extract I posted it seems an extension is possible.

It's a non immigrant visa, therefore, 1 year extensions for retirement/marriage etc would be available.

There is no 30 day extension available.

That may well be true but not for 30 days!

As written, and in relation to just an extension of stay, nothing seems excluded.  Of course there may be other rulings or policies out there that are more specific.

Guys,, to repeat for clarification,

The question here is not about obtaining Non-F, or what is used for etc..

Just to know if possible can extend it for 2-3 weeks time after expiry date,

so please focus the replies at this point,

thank you

You cannot get any extension of a non immigrant visa entry without specific supporting documents for it.

It is not the same as applying for an extension of a tourist visa entry.

To repeat what has been previously written --- The answer is NO.

You could apply for an extension which will be refused and you will be given a 7 day period in which to leave the country (1900 Bht)  OR you could leave the country by air or land and return for a visa exempt entry of 30 days which IS extendable for another 30 days for a fee of 1900Bht (assuming you are from a country which qualifies)

Well NO is your answer, but not necessarily the best or final answer.  As others have responded, special documentation may be required for requesting an extension of stay for an F visa. The F visa is not that common a visa and I am pretty sure few people have much direct experience with it.
