Siem Reap provincial court yesterday convicted a South Korean missionary to a 14-year jail term for raping at least nine of his pupils aged 12 to 16. Court spokesman Riem Chamony said that the judge convicted 63-year-old Park Youl to 14 years and a fine of $70,000 to be paid to seven of the nine girls.

 

Mr Youl was arrested at his Christian church in October 2016 after police received complaints from nine female victims aged 12 to 16. Mr Youl was the head of the church in in Slor Kram commune’s Chung Kaosu village, where he allowed about 20 poor girls and their families to live with him.

 

According to police, Mr Youl operated the church since 2005 and had sex with at least nine of his pupils. Khoem Vando, program director at Action Pour Les Enfants, an anti-child sex abuse NGO, said his organisation received a tip-off and started an investigation into the church in collaboration with anti-human trafficking police in February 2015.

Glad they nailed this SOB. These missionaries who come to SE Asia to brainwash the local people and try to convert them is bad enough, but this is horrendous. Think of all the people over the years who were probably converted by this twisted "preacher".

Good job he wasn't a Muslim , we would have 30 pages of hate by now.

Hopefully he will find karmatic justice within the walls of the prison he will be inhabiting.
