One witness, quoted by Kathimerini, said the older man appeared to have reserved a sunlounger and was waiting for other people when the disagreement started. Another witness reached a similar conclusion, saying the reserved lounger seemed to be the cause of the first clash.

The 76-year-old man has been arrested, according to the reports. Police also detained a 21-year-old woman who was with him, but she was later released.

Ta Nea daily, citing witnesses, said the woman had a swollen and bloodied face following the confrontation.

CPR And Defibrillator Before Hospital

During the fight, the 82-year-old collapsed. Various reports said people at the scene began CPR, and a defibrillator was also used before an ambulance arrived.

The man was taken to hospital, where he later died, according to media accounts.
