Russia Warns UK Over Drones Used in Attacks on Russia

Russia has warned the United Kingdom of “consequences” after confirming that British-made drones were used in strikes on targets in Russia, accusing London of escalating the war.

Russian Embassy Accuses UK Of Escalation

The Russian Embassy in London said Britain had “deliberately opted for an escalation” following reports that the drones were employed in attacks inside Russian territory. In a statement, it said the UK was acting as an “accomplice and co-perpetrator” of what it described as “crimes and terrorist attacks”.

The embassy added that the UK would have to respond for its actions, warning that the more it became involved in the conflict, the higher the “price” it would face.

UK Says It Stands With Ukraine

Responding to the allegations, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Defence (MoD) told BBC News that Britain would stand “shoulder to shoulder” with Ukraine. The spokesperson said Russia should have no doubt about the UK government’s determination to oppose Russian aggression both in Ukraine and against the UK and its allies.

The spokesperson also said the UK was committed to supplying Ukraine with the equipment it needs to defend itself against Vladimir Putin’s “illegal invasion”.

Drones Used Against Military And Industrial Targets

The drones cited by Russia were built by two separate British companies. They have been used inside Russia in what the text describes as widespread targeting of military and industrial sites, including refineries and warehouses linked to Wildberries, an online retailer.

Ukraine has said it repeatedly targeted the company, known as Russia’s version of Amazon. It claims that seven out of 10 of the largest Wildberries logistics centres have been “disabled”. A military source told the BBC that UK drones were used in the attacks, which are said to have caused more than £35bn in economic damage.

Russian foreign ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said drones using UK components and configurations were used to strike Russian territory, including a fuel depot in the Kamensky District of the Rostov Region.

Wave Of Strikes Follow Previous Attacks

The warning comes amid a period of Ukrainian strikes on Russia. In the latest overnight attacks, Russian officials said about 620 drones were launched towards the area around Moscow. They reported that air defences destroyed more than 180 of the devices, while some people were wounded.

Officials said an attack the previous night killed nine people and injured 23, including a child. On Saturday night, Ukraine fired about 822 drones towards Russia, according to a regional governor, who said around 600 were aimed at Moscow and that the capital suffered “one of the most massive drone attacks in recent memory”. Seven deaths were reported across Russia.

On the same night, Russian strikes on Ukraine killed at least seven people and injured more than 39.

MoD Announces Large Drone Supply To Ukraine

In April, the UK MoD said it would provide Ukraine with tens of thousands of drones, including long-range strike systems, as its biggest package to date.

Russia has already won. Ukraine is a wasteland and will take decades to rebuild. This has pushed back any danger of Ukraine joining NATO and the EU for decades.

Before Putin started the war this was not far off. Putin got exactly what he wanted.

NATO’s founding principles, specifically the Article 5 collective defense clause, mean that admitting a country currently at war would legally obligate all 32 member states to enter direct military conflict with Russia. Consequently, major powers within the alliance, including the United States and Germany, have consistently blocked setting a firm calendar date for accession until a stable peace or diplomatic resolution is achieved. Unless Ukraine declares allegiance to Russia it will be at perpetual war with Russia. What do you think is the likely outcome here? Ukraine will cave, Zelensky will be gone.

They messed up badly in trusting a jewish actor called zelensky when he said 'no war with Russia'

With the appointment of Denys Shmynal as Defense Minister of Ukraine & election of Yulia Syrydenko as Prime Minister the country is now under jewish control.

Getting personal, are we? Or just handing out insults again, towards one you know nothing about?

Nothing to hide here, if you need to know: Been married twice in Norway, got kids there. Was happy there, but too cold winters made my decision to move here.

Now retired in this beautiful country, living the dream. Married to a Thai lawyer, living in a great pool villa. Happy as I can get.

I bet my life "beats" yours. Jealous?

Anything else you want to know?

Lol, are you 10 years old? 12? You are embarrassing yourself.

The Ukrainian war has serious interest for European countries. It's a reason why we support Ukraine, we do not want Russia to knock on our doorstep, or worst case have Russian language at schools. It's a seriously important matter for us.

And btw, Norway has border to Russia.

But i would not expect an American child like you to understand, or to know that. I bet you can't even place Norway on a map.

Today they are not prepared for that. They can't even take Ukraine, and are losing a thousand soldiers daily.

But in a decade or so, maybe 5-10 years, when and if Russian economy looks better, and Russia has rebuilt their military to be ready for a new confrontation, yes I have no doubt that they will once again threaten and invade some new country, maybe a NATO country.

This is in their DNA, that's why it is so important to stop them now, clip their wings so to speak.

Vladimir Putin may threaten Britain over its support for Ukraine, but a direct Russian attack on the UK remains highly unlikely because Moscow knows the consequences of triggering a wider NATO war.

The Kremlin’s increasingly aggressive rhetoric is instead designed to frighten Western governments into scaling back support for Kyiv, according to Katia Glod of the New Eurasia Strategies Centre.

Moscow has a long record of threats and covert attacks

Russia has repeatedly targeted Britain through espionage, sabotage and alleged assassination operations, from the killing of Alexander Litvinenko to the Novichok attack in Salisbury.

More recent incidents have included an arson attack on a Ukrainian-owned warehouse and suspected Russian reconnaissance around Britain’s critical underwater infrastructure. Such operations offer Moscow a way to apply pressure while avoiding an open military confrontation.

Glod says hybrid attacks — including cyber operations, espionage, criminal proxies and provocations around British waters and airspace — could intensify.

Putin wants fear without triggering NATO

The Kremlin faces a difficult balancing act. Putin wants Western governments to believe that arming Ukraine carries a price, while avoiding any action that could provoke direct conflict with a NATO member.

“He knows that Russia doesn’t have the capacity to respond,” Glod said, arguing that Moscow is unlikely to test the alliance through a conventional attack.

Repeated nuclear and military threats have also created a credibility problem. If warnings are issued but never acted upon, their deterrent effect can gradually weaken.

Britain still faces a serious vulnerability

That does not mean the UK is immune from danger. Russia has the ability to launch missiles towards Britain, including from systems positioned in Belarus, while concerns remain over the country’s ability to defend against a sustained air attack.

Britain does not operate the US-made Patriot system used by several European allies for high-end missile defence.

Yet the central calculation remains unchanged: a direct Russian strike on Britain would risk triggering NATO’s collective response. For Putin, that makes intimidation and covert pressure far more attractive than open war.

Putin may threaten NATO over Ukraine – but he is too weak to do so

Source?: I saw it ALL on the Tv AND read it in the Sun 👍

Britain still faces a serious vulnerability:
Yes, the <deleted> bags running the MIC & Financial Industrial Compalex - the Corpor(se)ations that own UK politicians seem hell bent on a HOT war with Russia (so that they can steal Russia oil and Gas as they did with Iraq, Syria etc.).

Retards (yes I do mean u) cheer this on and talk about 'us' 'we' etc but, as always, the losses will be socialised (paid by taxpayers) and the profits will be kept by western oligarchs. Loads of decent men will die so the fat cats can add a coule of zerso to their accounts.

I really get a kick out of those here who literally quote Western propaganda points - verbatim - in order to "prove" their Geo-political knowledge as well as person opinions. Sad to see how they have been shaped during their lives. Then they show up on the forum, spew some "FoxNews style" talking point, followed by argumentum ad hominem leveled at anyone questioning the orthodoxy of their skewed religiously-held opinions, and then end their diatribes in some sort of a personal slight that is usually nothing much more than juvenile name calling. It's is just sad to watch.

There are people on this forum who study history, and understand how that history segues into current day Geo-politics and the propensity of man to wage endless - unnecessary - wars which create nothing but misery and suffering for the civilian masses who literally just want to live their lives in peace. Well, my respect for you out there who tread this road less traveled, but do so knowledgeably. Kudos.

Simple numbers of russian economy 2026:

Russia's wartime economy faces severe structural stagnation, rapid depletion of financial reserves, high interest rates, and rising inflation driven heavily by massive military spending and fuel shortages.

For many experts and practitioners, Russia’s remarkable resilience during the war with Ukraine came as a big surprise. The unprecedented wave of nearly 24,000 economic sanctions was expected to cripple the Russian economy by making it the most-embargoed country in the world. Instead, Russia’s businesses quickly spun around: trade with China, India, and the so-called Global South replaced closed Western channels, with natural resources providing the foundation for these new partnerships.

Yet the flexibility of the market economy tells only part of the story of Russia’s unexpected resilience.

Throughout the war, there has not been a single case of disloyalty on the part of regional governors.

In addition, unlike the Soviet command economy, which demanded central control over most economic activity, Putin’s model operates within a market framework, permitting significant economic autonomy while maintaining political centralization. This separation of political and economic control marks a fundamental break with Soviet practice, where the two were inseparable.

Russia’s economy is growing faster than expected. Last week, Rosstat published seemingly encouraging news about the state of the economy: Russia’s GDP grew by 1.3% year-over-year in the second quarter, after shrinking by 0.2% in the first three months of 2026. This result even exceeded the expectations of the Central Bank of Russia and the Economic Development Ministry.

Today. Russia in a nutshell. Terror, every single day. Killing civilians, at shopping malls, apartment buildings, schools, hospitals, kindergartens..

And they even go after rescue workers in double-tap strikes.

Absolutely despicable. Lowest of the low.

And here, in this thread, we see some Americans obviously cheering for Russia, excusing every terrorist strike they do.

I'm sick to my stomach.

Yes, they unintentionally bombed a beach with drones and killed a few children, no big deal right?

But you have a fit when Russia does likewise and shed salty tears.

Laughable. Total hypocrisy.

You're only speaking to your fellow Putin loving Z fascists.

Everyone who knows anything about this war knows that Russia intentionally targets civilians to murder pretty much EVERY DAY.

In that context it's not even worth litigating that beach incident even if it was intentional which is very very doubtful.

Why?

Because there is no evidence or pattarn whatsoever of Ukraine intentionally targeting Russian civilians to kill as their war policy.

For Russia, that is their primary plan to win the war. TERRORISM.

Again, Putin thanks you.

Decent people know you are promoting total evil.
