Trump’s Approval Hits Record Low in New Poll

The Reuters/Ipsos poll was conducted from August 21 to 24 and included 1,215 respondents:

I wouldn't call that a representative poll. So, he's losing more Dems and Independents which he would never get in the first place, so the poll is all meaningless and only being used for propaganda against Trump and his administration. If theses fraudsters can convince the public that the Republicans don't have a chance in the mid-terms, their hope is that we will all stay home and not vote thinking our vote will be useless in light of an imminent Republican defeat. We see right through the BS, and it won't work.

I thought it was already 33% several weeks ago. Here's hoping it sinks lower but he may be approaching rock bottom--there's always that certain percentage that will support a president no matter what. Truman sank to 22% at one point and Nixon to 24% but America is so polarized right now that I, regretfully, doubt that Trump will ever hit either of those numbers. But, one can hope!

Record low? it should be zero.

Why do you hope his approval sinks lower?

I don't understand why his ratings are so low. He did great things for the country. He has proven to be a reliable partner for almost every country in the world. He is loved by every head of state world wide. He renamed the gulf of Mexico and lake Ontario. He showed the world America's incredible military power by almost defeating Iran in about maybe some time in the future. He put deservedly so his name on the Kennedy center. He managed to restore the good reputation of his best friend Jeffrey. He gave the reflecting pool it's beautiful green color. And let's not forget last but not least the soon to be built beautiful, golden ballroom with it's tasteful decoration. All paid for by selfless donors, way below budget. All these accomplishments of president Bling Bling, which have never been seen in the history of the earth. The American people are so ungrateful to this incredible gifted president that it should push his ratings up to at least 34%

I agree - he is a genius- maybe he could open and run a casino , or set up a charity or set up a university - oops I forgot he already has done that with spectacular success

I don't know why Trump bothers given the never ending abuse he gets. He should resign and enjoy what's left of his life away from all the childish hassle.

I was looking at poll ratings by states & I informally saw only at or above 50% in 3 states: N Dakota, Wyoming and West Virginia. Total population of those states around 3 million.

I wonder how he got such a high rating in those places

Not surprising. His actions are causing prices to soar all over the world. Hurt people's wallets or cause global insecurity and they will turn and vote for your opponents out of social anger.

I don't need to answer this do I? Ever heard of Ukraine, Greenland, Street of Hormuz, oil prices, flight disruptions in the Middle East etc.?

I could give you a couple of billion reasons why. It also keeps him out of jail, which is the only thing that made him run for office a 2nd time.

Anything good for Trump is bad for everybody else. Anything bad for Trump, like a sinking approval rating, is good for everybody else. My hope is if his approval rating sinks a little lower, and stays there, it might encourage some of his fellow Republicans to finally show some spine.

Some might revert to what they first thought of Trump. Ted Cruz, for example, first called Trump a 'pathological liar' (true), 'utterly amoral' (also true), and 'a wannabe mobster' (likely not wannabe). VP Vance might also decide, hey, I was right about Trump the first time, he really is Hitler. And, Mike Johnson, who at first called Trump a 'hot head' and 'not morally fit to be president' and said 'he would break more things than he fixes' (wow, how true is that!), might also come to his senses and bear in mind what Maya Angelou famously said, "When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time."
