UK Asylum Seeker Guide Covers Sex, Consent, Gender Equality

The Home Office has published new behavioural guidance for asylum seekers in England and Wales, setting out how laws and social customs in the UK may differ from those in their countries of origin.

The nine-page booklet has been uploaded online and covers issues including respect in public, sex and consent, and gender equality. It also explains that asylum seekers may face consequences if they break UK law, including effects on their asylum claim and support while their case is considered.

Guidance Warns of Legal Consequences

The document states that the impact of breaching UK rules can range from police involvement to the loss of asylum support, and that it could also “affect” an applicant’s asylum claim.

A Home Office spokesman said the department expects people coming to the UK to follow UK laws, adding that failure to do so can lead to “consequences”, including the refusal of an asylum claim and removal from the country.

The booklet was published as latest Home Office statistics show that 93,525 people applied for asylum in the UK between April 2025 and March 2026, down by 12% compared with the previous year.

The Home Office said removals of failed asylum seekers have reached their highest level since 2010 under the current government.

Gender, Sex and Consent Sections Included

A section on gender explains that women in the UK have equal rights with men and do not need permission from a husband, father, brother or any other man to work, study, travel or make decisions.

The booklet’s section on sex and consent states that both people must agree to sexual activity or any sexual contact. It adds that consent cannot be given if someone is asleep, drunk, or unable to respond.

Respect in Public and Support Details

Another section, titled Respect in Public, says it is not acceptable to whistle or make kissing noises at people in the street. It also warns against making sexual comments to someone, even if the person making the comment believes it is a compliment.

The guidance also includes contact details for organisations providing support for victims and people seeking help with the issues raised in the document.

Opposition Criticises, Labour Declines Comment

The Conservatives said asylum seekers who break UK law should be deported. Reform UK said the publication showed the government “knows that they are a menace”.

Shadow home secretary Chris Philp said the approach should focus on deportations rather than trying to train asylum seekers to behave differently. In remarks cited from earlier comments, he argued that communities were not integrating properly, leaving what he described as “backwards” standards to persist.

Reform UK’s home affairs spokesman Zia Yusuf posted a two-minute video on social media describing the booklet as “a disgrace”. He said the government had published what he characterised as a guide for illegal migrants on what he said people should not do, including committing sexual offences and other violent behaviour.

A Labour spokesperson declined to comment. The Liberal Democrats and the Green Party were contacted for comment.

Separate government figures cited by the Home Office show nearly 70,000 illegal migrants and foreign criminals have been returned or deported since Labour came to power in July 2024. The BBC reported that nearly 10,000 foreign criminals, including murderers and rapists, have been removed since the last election, a 36% increase compared with the previous 21 months.

Say's it all when an Afgahn raped a 1 yr old girl in Falkirk Scotland. In his defense his defence

lawyer said it was difficult due to Cultural differeces and language.

As sentence was passed, Sadeq Nikzad repeatedly shouted ‘liar’ at Mr Justice Morris

An Afghan asylum seeker tried to defend his rape of a 15-year-old Scottish schoolgirl by citing cultural differences and a language barrier.

Sadeq Nikzad, 29, entered the UK illegally on a small boat in 2023, and later that year subjected the teenager to a terrifying sex attack in broad daylight in Falkirk town centre.

Nikzad will serve nine years in custody followed by three years on licence, go on the sex offenders register and be deported at the end of his sentence.

As the sentence was passed at Livingston High Court, Nikzad repeatedly shouted “liar” at Mr Justice Morris.

He was convicted of rape at the High Court in Edinburgh earlier this year after a jury heard how he approached the girl and asked for her phone number and if she had a boyfriend.

He then made sexual remarks towards the underage girl before leading her to the rear of The Courtyard pub, where he attacked and raped her.

The girl said she froze during the assault, while a woman who came across her shortly afterwards said she had been “in a daze”.

The witness said: “She looked stunned. I knew something had gone wrong. She came to me for comfort. She said she kept telling the guy she was only 15.”

‘An appalling, opportunistic attack’

Janice Green, Nikzad’s defence counsel, told an earlier hearing that her client had not been educated about the significant cultural differences between the UK and Afghanistan.

Ms Green also said the schoolgirl’s evidence about language difficulties between them and the fact she had not told the accused “No” meant the offence was “not a typical stranger rape”.

She added: “There are no issues raised by him in relation to fear of persecution, and the ultimate result is that he’ll be deported at the conclusion of his sentence.”

During sentencing, Mr Justice Morris told the accused through an interpreter: “You’ve been convicted of an extremely serious sexual offence against a child, and I know your counsel has now explained to you that in those

To write it in Arabic would be "problematic" and probably considered as racist

It beggars belief what sort of female solicitor / barrister would even consider defending such a beast. Are those wigs they wear in court available in blue these days? Joking aside she should be disbarred (or whatever the correct term is ) and should never be allowed in a courtroom again except to be charged and convicted with attempting to pervert the course of justice .

As far as I was aware ignorance of the law is never a valid excuse and cannot be quoted in mitigation

What a horrendous and shocking report , truly disgusting

They seem to have the practical English required for survival.

The leaflets about not raping people, on the other hand, apparently still need to be printed.

Net migration to the UK in 2022, 2023 and 2024 totalled almost 2.2m.
All illegal data? They don’t actually know. Or if they do, they’re not telling us, & it’s not just the dinghies.

Nearly 1 in 4 sex crime convictions involve foreign nationals.

Just think how much worse it will get when the savages are bussed into the "stock-broker belt areas" They won't settle for council estate girls after they have had a taste of quality However, The grooming gangs will have to raise their game and "up the ante" somewhat as the likes of "anastasia, philippa and cassandra" won't be dropping 'em for a donner kebab , 20 lambert and butler and a bottle of Lambrini, But just who will pay for the Pimms and canapes that will be required? , the taxpayer ? , or maybe the likes of "hope not hate" and "care 4 calais" will have a whip round or open a "go fund me" just for them

What % of rapes by illegal immigrants would you personally consider to be an appropriate limit ? in order to both fully protect our women ,yet, sensitively allowing the "guests" to feel at home? A simple number will suffice for your answer

It just proves that whoever said Brexit would solve the immigration problem didn't have a clue what he was talking about, it made it far worse.

The british rapists are unfortunately a problem that we have to deal with , like all other countries, there are indigenous rapists and sex offenders, yes our own nonces are less civilised than normal people , I consider sex offenders to be sub-human where ever they come from.

The difference is that the behaviour of our home grown beasts is never defended or excused by the the likes of you, just the imported ones , So put up or shut up , how many foreign rapists do you think is acceptable ?

And furthermore your statement suggesting that getting raped by an illegal immigrant is no worse than getting raped by a UK citizen is probably one of the most disgusting things I have ever heard on here , you should hang your head in shame ,

It's so pathetic and so lefty that they even have to issue such an insulting statement to the UK public. Any illegal immigrant, boat scammer, or non-UK citizen that commits crime should be instantly deported.. no questions asked. If Denmark can do it, so can the UK.

As for ECHR... it can go take a running jump off the nearest cliff, just moronic. Attitudes are hardening, and by not balancing things properly they are only facilitating the rise of their opposite... always like this. The answers are to be found in the middle as the extremes of both sides only offer failure... hence this stupid roundavout we continually find ourselves on.

I don't think it's anything to do with "Brexit" It has everything to do with the way Brexit was mismanaged, Germany as an example is still right slap bang up to its neck in Europe and they have the same issues

Is that your final answer? For some of them just being in the UK is the only excuse they need? I suggest you play devil's advocate in a rather less controversial subject, Its too late for you to start with the "there is no excuse " response and you have yet again made yourself look ridiculous

When faced with the problem of foreign imported sex offenders, your only response is to quote the figures for UK born offenders , as in your mind that makes it all ok What is wrong with people like you ? You all disgust me

Let’s now break down the 85.9% into “British” who were previous immigrants (or sons/grandsons of immigrants) and those who are “English”.

When we have those numbers, we can then break down the “British” immigrants by country of ancestry.

That will tell you who NOT to let in and who really shouldn’t have been allowed in in the first place.

I expect that the request for these statistics will bother leftists like yourself.

Tell me. Are you Swiss or “swiss”?

Sending large numbers of asylum seekers into small villages and rural areas - with or without these brilliant guides - is a recipe for trouble as we know.

These communities have limited housing, limited GP capacity, limited school places, and almost no existing support infrastructure for large groups of single young men who often don’t speak English and have no local ties.

Dropping hundreds or thousands into places with a few hundred or a few thousand residents doesn’t “spread the burden” but it overwhelms the place.

This is what they end up with:
Sudden pressure on already stretched local services

Rapid change in the character and safety of the area and no bloody leaflet will change this.

For sure tensions between residents and new arrivals.

Exactly the conditions that previously produced serious integration and crime problems in larger towns and cities. Rural England is not designed to absorb this. Treating small villages as overflow sites for a failed urban asylum system will create more friction, more resentment, and more problems. Not fewer.

I feel sorry for the UK countryside folks.

1000s of men arriving yearly need to be told the way to act in a civil legal manner .

They need to be told not to rape children .

They do not know that already , they need to be told its wrong .

Will they listen to what a bit of paper says or will they continue living their countries cultural ways and continue to rape ?

But you seem to want to avoid using math for any kind of statistical analysis.

Why is that?

If the math shows that immigrants commit fewer sexual assaults per capita, let them stay. If it shows otherwise, send them all back to the filthy hellholes that they hail from. Doesn’t matter the race or religion. Country by country basis. Include “white” immigrants too so there won’t be any hint of racism.
