breezein
Songkram last year started in the afternoon at Soi Green Mango and was full on until the bars closed. This year will be the same with the Thais joining in on the 13th. After the 13th you can smack anyone in the mouth that soaks you. The Thai way of celebrating is great just a sprinkle of water and some talcum powder but as usual the farangs come along and ruin it.

Mark Wolfe
Some kids will open their presents the night before (on the 12th) so expect a few errant sprays in the evening. The 13th is the full-on water day. The day after, everyone is dry again, no pun intended. "Mark" my words....

Rooo
Wow that is great, a real experience of Thai culture with internarional DJ"s & from 6pm when the official water throwing stops. & wonder how they will get around alcohol ban (if it comes into effect),oh I forgot, no problem, this is Samui not Thailand. Poor Samui, is it ever going to get a break?

Birdman
Songkran is the most needless day of the year. I don't care at all. It's such a brutal mess coming from a nice tradition!.... The past 23 years I've had so much fun on all the other days. I guess it does not appeal to my inner-child...
