Sunderland
The second half was better then from a Sunbelt perspective. Need to remember that as well as being a new team, they faced a team that finished third last season.Technically it was an away game too. Also worth bearing in mind that the Winking Frog were new last season and had a decent run after a tricky start. I think they also conceded 9 goals in one of their early fixtures, but they are among the favourites for this season. Good luck for the rest of the season, Sunbelt. Fast Eddie
It's always difficult when a new team of players come together. The players need time to learn how to play with each other and realise the standard that will be required of them week in week out, as well as getting match fit. These things always take several weeks to sort out. Sometimes a heavy defeat to start with can be a useful lesson as it highlights exactly the areas that need to be worked on. Considering the fact that they had little time to practise or play friendly games, i imagine the result will not come as too great a shock and given a bit more time the results will improve. Good luck lads. Edited October 1, 2005 by Fast Eddie
Sunderland
I've said it before and I'll say it again. The standard of this league is reasonably high. Most people playing are quite fit. There are not many round bellied OAPs playing in this league. It's not the English Premier League, but it's a higher standard than most Sunday leagues in England. The_Moog
Sunderland just pm'ed me with an amended result. So, anyway, but nevertheless, good hanging-on-in-there and not letting your heads drop as is so often when a team gets 0-9 down. stats
Dear All The match was really a good and valuable lesson for the players... As we have said before its not casual or sunday league football anymore...Its more of a Semi Pro Standard...The MBMG International LEague have grown and the pace of the game is really fast now... I would like to congratulate our Sunbelt Thaivisa Players who really did very well ... Next match : Robin Hood VS Sunbelt Thaivisa.com FC... A victory without danger is a triumph without glory Pierre Corneille Victory becomes, to some degree, a state of mind. Knowing ourselves superior to the anxieties, troubles, and worries which obsess us, we are superior to them Basil King Regards, Tytus Edited October 1, 2005 by tytus

Sunderland
You'll get over this one quickly, Tytus. As I said elsewhere, the Winking Frog lost 9-0 in their first match last season but never suffered like that again for the rest of the season. I am sure you will secure better results as the season progresses. Good luck to you and your lads ... Scotty
